Not too long ago, dental braces were for people who had major tooth and jaw problems, which were often fixed in childhood. It was so expensive before that many parents would choose to leave their children with misaligned or poor teeth.

Thanks to the advancement in dental technology, getting braces for your children is not as expensive as before. If you one of the children who missed out Braces as a child it is not too late for you as an adult.

For Children
Dental braces for children are now very popular in today’s society. It is one of the best ways to get your child a much straighter teeth and better dental health.

Children tend to have an under or overbite which can cause them to wear down their teeth much more quickly. Poorly aligned or crooked teeth can also present a lot of problems as they can be very difficult to clean. This means they are more prone to tooth decay and gum disease.

Parents who wish to get their children braces should first make sure that their children have already lost all their temporary teeth and have been replaced by their secondary teeth. Once this has occurred they are ideal candidates for braces.

For Adults
The main concern for adults getting braces is the amount of time needed to get the teeth properly aligned. Depending on the severity of your condition as well as your overall dental health, the treatment can be over a year and up to 3 years.

If your lifestyle demands don’t allow you to have Traditional Braces, then Lingual Braces, which are attached to the reverse side of teeth or Invisalign Invisible Braces are real options for you. Once you have decided which option to take, the results for adults are just as effective as if they had the treatment as a child.

Braces are dental appliances that are attached to the teeth, providing a controlled force to move the teeth to the proper position. They are fixed to the teeth in order to let us grip the teeth while moving them. Each of the brackets is connected by wires or elastic bands, which provides the force.
