Types of Braces

Confused about which treatment you need? From traditional braces to the latest Invisalign aligners, we can help you determine which type of treatment is perfect for you.

At Tony Weir Orthodontics, we offer a variety of options that you can choose from to straighten your teeth.

Traditional Orthodontic Braces

Traditional braces are fixed onto your teeth applying pressure until they are in their final position. These braces are typically made up of a combination of brackets and wires attached to your teeth.

Modern Clear Braces

We also offer modern Clear Braces, which are partially invisible. Because the brackets are tooth coloured, it will be virtually invisible. We recommend this type of braces for the upper teeth of our clients as this is more exposed than the lower teeth.

Lingual Braces

Lingual Braces, like traditional braces, use brackets and wires attached to your teeth to push your teeth into position. However, Lingual Braces are invisible to the eye, as they are fitted to the back of your teeth.

Invisalign

At Tony Weir Orthodontics, we also offer Invisalign. This is the latest way to straighten the teeth. Using clear plastic aligners, these teeth straightening devices are also removable. As the aligners are clear they are practically invisible. Invisalign uses 3D imaging which will allow you to see the results even before the treatment starts.
